Trustly: paying straight from your bank on a phone
Trustly is a pay-by-bank service. Instead of typing card numbers, you choose your bank, log in to online banking through Trustly's window and approve a transfer. Whether it appears in your Kanuuna cashier is something only the cashier can tell you: the set of methods and limits depends on the account. This page explains how the method behaves on a phone so you know what to expect if it is there.
How a Trustly deposit looks on mobile
- In the cashier, choose Trustly and enter the amount.
- A Trustly window opens — sometimes inside the page, sometimes as a new tab. Pick your bank.
- Log in the way you normally log in to your bank. In Estonia that often means Smart-ID, Mobiil-ID or an ID card; on a phone Smart-ID is the most convenient, because the approval arrives in the app on the same device.
- Choose the account and approve the payment.
- You are returned to the casino. If the tab reloaded, check the transaction history before paying again.
Why people choose it on a phone
- No card number to type on a small keyboard.
- The money comes from your own bank account, so the payment is easy to trace on your statement.
- The same bank account can be the destination for a withdrawal, if the operator supports that route.
Withdrawals via Trustly
Where Trustly is enabled for payouts, the withdrawal normally goes to the bank account you used for the deposit. The name on the bank account should match the casino account — a mismatch is one of the most common reasons for a rejected withdrawal. Verification comes first; see the withdrawal guide for the stages and statuses.
Things to watch
- Pop-up blockers. If nothing happens after you choose Trustly, your browser may be blocking the window. Allow pop-ups for the verified site only.
- Switching apps. Approving in the Smart-ID app and coming back is normal; closing the browser in between is not.
- Limits and fees. Shown in the cashier; your bank may also have daily transfer limits.
Trustly or a bank link?
In Estonia many people use their bank's own pangalink instead. Both end in your online bank; the difference is the window in between. If both are shown, choose the one you are most comfortable logging into on a phone. The bank transfer page covers the slower manual route.
