Mastercard: what happens around the card form
Paying with a Mastercard works much like any other card payment on a phone, and the Visa page covers the basic flow. This page looks at the parts players most often get stuck on: a card that is declined for no obvious reason, the photo the operator may ask for, and what happens when a payout cannot go back to the card. Declined payments: the usual reasons
- Gambling blocks. Many banks let customers switch off gambling-related card payments in the app. If you set that up earlier — good; it is doing its job.
- Online or foreign payment settings. Some cards have online payments limited by default. Check the card settings in your bank app.
- Missed confirmation. The approval request in the bank app or Smart-ID expires after a short time. If you switched apps too slowly, start again.
- Daily card limits. Your bank's own limits apply on top of anything the casino sets.
Before a second attempt, open the cashier's history and your bank app to make sure the first payment really failed.
A deposit from your phone
Choose Mastercard in the cashier, enter the amount and card details, approve in your bank app and return to the browser. Keep the phone connected and the browser open while you approve; on some phones the casino tab reloads after switching apps, which makes a successful deposit look lost for a moment.
Card verification
For withdrawals, operators may ask you to prove the card is yours. A typical request is a photo of the front of the card with the middle digits covered, showing your name and the first and last digits. When the payout cannot go to the card
Not every card can receive money back from a casino. In that case the operator normally pays to a bank account in your name — see bank transfer. Read the withdrawal rules in the operator's terms before you deposit so that the route is clear in advance.
Credit card caution
A credit Mastercard means playing with borrowed money, often with extra bank charges. If you find yourself reaching for credit to keep playing, take that as a signal and look at the responsible gambling tools and the 15410 help line.
